How long are private music lessons?
Our lessons are by default 45 minutes long.
You may request to have hour-long lessons.
Can adults take lessons?
Yes! We have many adults who take music lessons. For adults only, we offer a Busy Adult Package if a weekly lesson is not realistic for you.
Can parents sit in on their child's lessons?
We ask that you please refrain from sitting in on your student's lesson unless there have been special arrangements made with the office and teacher. We have conference lessons at the end of each semester that we invite parents to sit in on. You may sit outside of the lesson room if you would like to be close by. Our teachers will be able to check in with you after the lessons.
What are the practicing expectations?
Students should practice at least 30 minutes, 6 days per week. The most important time to practice being right after a lesson, to solidify what was learned on your own.
What can I do if I am going to miss a lesson?
There are options for you to utilize if you have a conflict. ​
1) Swapping Lessons
We will provide you with a list of potential students to swap with and you may coordinate a swap.
2) Online Lesson
Opting for an online lesson is always an option.

We understand that sometimes unexpected situations arise that may cause you to miss your lesson. We can make exceptions for reasonable circumstances. You can learn more about our make-up lesson policy here.
What if I can no longer make my weekly lesson time work?
You can switch to any available opening at any time during the year, as many times as needed.
What if I can't afford lessons?
It's important to us that everyone who wants music lessons has access to them. Full and partial sholarships are available through the Academy of Sound Foundation.
