2025 Summer Musical Workshop
The dragon is back in town! Well… not really. That’s the story a ragtag band of innkeepers makes up, desperate to draw questing heroes to the struggling Dancing Dragon Inn. Soon the inn is full of unexpected guests, from an army of princesses out to prove their bravery, to a group of overwhelmed heroes trying to hold onto their fame. But what happens if they all discover the innkeepers’ dragon story is made up? Could there be more than one way to save the day? An epic folk-rock score brings magic to this funny, heartfelt fantasy musical.

Imagine a Dragon Summer Musical Workshop
A three-week journey into the world of musical theater! In this fun and rewarding workshop, every actor gets a role in the show—no experience necessary! On the first day, we introduce the show, characters, and music while also teaching the basics of auditioning through an educational and supportive casting process. Over the next few weeks, the actors will learn songs, choreography, lines, and help design sets and costumes. In the final days, we bring everything together with full dress rehearsals, preparing for the big performances. Family and friends are invited to enjoy two lively performances at the end of the session, showcasing all the hard work and creativity of our cast.
June 18 – July 11, 2025 (No rehearsal on July 4)
Rehearsals: Monday–Friday, 9:00–11:00 AM
Performances: Saturday, July 12, 2025 & Sunday, July 13, 2025
It is required for actors to be available for the performance dates to participate.
Ages 6-11. Fee: $150
What is our Summer Musical Workshop?
Our Summer Musical program takes place each summer for a short but fun three weeks. We have rehearsal Monday-Friday, and put the whole show together for friends and family to watch and enjoy at the end. This program is beginner-friendly. Any student that signs up for the workshop will have a role in the show. Roles are determined after the first day of rehearsal, where we hold auditions for all the parts your student might want to try.

We will learn all of the songs, dances and lines in rehearsal. Actors must be prepared to practice at home. We only have a few weeks to put the show together, after all! Students will also help design their costumes and create parts of the set.
