Academy of Sound looks ahead to summer 2020 and beyond
We miss all of you, and are thinking of you and your families. We hope you're all safe and healthy, and finding new ways of "being." These have been challenging times, and you have all been so supportive and appreciative.
Thank you for sticking with us -- We are deeply grateful!
On May 17th, our spring recital, the 17th annual and first-ever offered entirely online, raised $1,185 to date, which will support youth in our community who need assistance accessing music lessons through the Academy of Sound Foundation. The virtual recital is posted at academyofsound.org/live, where donations to the scholarship fund continue to be accepted.
Here's a highlight: "Take Me Out to the Ballgame," performed by 3rd grader Wesley, accompanied by family and friends, including AOS teacher Adam C.
Academy of Sound, LLC and Academy of Sound Foundation, Inc. stand unequivocally against racism and systemic oppression.
Together we support our Black students, families, and community.
We value listening, and believe wholeheartedly in the power of music to unite and heal our world. But there is more work that must be done.
We join our voices with the chorus around the world affirming that Black Lives Matter.
