Please welcome Elisa Kaether as Co-Director:
Some of you may have already noticed in e-mail sign-offs from the office that we now have a co-director. Elisa has been working at AOS for nine years, and had been a student since age four. More recently, she directed our summer operetta, along with teaching young beginners voice, piano and ukulele. Elisa's mom started the school before she was even born, so in many ways she's been a part of the Academy her whole life. Elisa has a great sense of what makes up our community at Academy of Sound. Her goal is to see that the Academy continues to thrive and grow. You will probably meet Elisa over the phone or through email if you haven't already.
We'd also like to announce our new Resident Piano Technician, Ally Kurihara:
Ally, who is our other Co-Director and a teacher, has taken on a new role with us: Piano Technician! Ally completed her apprenticeship last year and has now been in the field of caring for pianos for over a year now. She is looking forward to working with Academy of Sound families to keep their pianos in the best playing condition possible. You can view Ms. Ally's website here.
Welcome Kendra Peterson as our new Clarinet and Piano Teacher:
Kendra has a music performance and management degree from Luther College and currently also works at Ward-Brodt Music in Fitchburg. We are thrilled to have her expertise on board. Kendra still has availability for the 2022-2023 session.
